The basics
What is AgentGrown?
An MCP server that gives your AI coding agent real SEO data: Google keyword research with volume, CPC, and competition, your Search Console ranking history, GA4 behavior data, backlink tracking (links gained and lost), and AI answer-engine citation tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. Your agent uses it to make SEO decisions with evidence while it builds.
Is AgentGrown free?
You start with 50 free tokens and no card. After that it's pay as you go: $10 buys 100 tokens, $25 buys 275, $50 buys 600. There are no subscriptions, tiers, or per-site fees.
Do I need to know SEO?
No. The point is that your agent makes the calls an SEO would — checking real demand before writing a page, protecting queries a page already ranks for — and you review its work like any other change.
Which agents does it work with?
Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP-capable agent. If your tool can add an MCP server, it can use AgentGrown.
Setup and data
How do I install it?
Sign up, then run `claude mcp add agentgrown -- npx -y agentgrown mcp` (or point Cursor/Windsurf at `npx -y agentgrown mcp`), then `npx agentgrown link` in your repo and paste the API key. Setup takes about two minutes.
Do I have to connect Google?
No. Keyword research works before you connect anything. Connecting Search Console and GA4 (one OAuth click) adds your own rankings, clicks, and visitor behavior to what the agent sees.
Is my Search Console data safe?
We use it only to power your own dashboards and your agent's briefs. It's never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with other customers; OAuth tokens are stored encrypted, and our use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Does AgentGrown write content for me?
No — deliberately. Your agent writes pages in your repo, in your voice, informed by AgentGrown's demand data and briefs. We're the data layer, not a content mill.
Tokens and billing
How do tokens work?
Background syncs (Search Console, GA4, crawling, recommendations) are free. Tokens are spent only when you or your agent asks for paid outside data: keyword idea lookups (2 tokens), volume checks (2), competitor lookups (2), and AI visibility scans (1 token per 2 questions), with repeat lookups cached free for 30 days. Usage is metered on the Usage page. Tokens live in one pool shared by all your projects and teammates, and purchased tokens don't expire while your account is active.
What is auto top-up?
Optional. When your balance runs low, we refill it from your saved card up to a monthly cap you set — and every auto refill adds an extra 10% in tokens on top of the pack bonus.
Can I get a refund?
Unused tokens aren't refundable except where the law requires, per the Terms of Service. Start with the free 50 tokens to make sure it fits before you buy.
Projects and teams
Can I use it on multiple sites?
Yes — that's the pricing model's point. Each repo gets its own scoped API key, every project draws from the same token pool, and there's no per-site fee.
Can my cofounder or contractor use it?
Invite them by email and they draw from your shared pool in under a minute. You can see per-teammate usage and revoke keys instantly when someone leaves.
